Atlantic Baking Company is owned by Matt and Kathy Singleton. The Singletons discovered mid-coast Maine thanks to their friends Geoff and Judy Getman who spent summers on Vinalhaven. A shared passion for cooking and culinary tradition brought the families together. Nearly a decade later in 2002, Geoff moved to Rockland full time to follow his dream, starting a world class artisanal bakery with state-of-the-art French ovens and a hand-picked team. After Geoff's sudden passing a year later, the bakery's future was in jeopardy. The Singletons took a leap of faith and became the bakery's new owners, continuing Geoff's legacy of bringing exceptional artisanal breads and pastries to the Rockland community.
